Chris Kupka
Designer
Chris’ path to landscape architecture has been guided by his love of the outdoors and of art. He grew up in the mountains of Colorado, and has loved being outside since he was a kid. Chris has also been enamored with the arts since a young age, kicking off his lifelong art education with finger painting, and studying drawing, photography, ceramics, and jewelry making through high school. When he came across landscape architecture in his college coursebook it seemed like the perfect combination of art and nature.
Chris graduated from Colorado State University with a BS in Landscape Architecture in the spring of 2018. Shortly after, he accepted a job offer in San Francisco and made the move to the Bay Area to begin his career. Chris loves that landscape architecture is the marriage of art and science, blurring the boundaries of many discrete disciplines to produce beauty, functionality, and habitat.
Chris lives in San Francisco with his girlfriend, Miriam. When he’s not working, you can usually find him playing outside (hiking, running, skiing, skateboarding), reading a good book, learning Spanish, whipping up a tasty feast, or lounging at the park or the beach.
