Isabella D'Alessandro
Designer

Isabella first encountered Arterra during a studio tour with the Academy of Art University. She thought it would be a wonderful place to work, and became part of the team in 2022. Initially, she started her career developing public plazas, rooftop terraces, housing courtyards, corporate campuses, parks and playgrounds. She found working in the public and private sectors on large-scale projects exciting, however her true calling was more inline with residential design, which allows her to dive deeper into material selection, planting palettes and furnishings.

A California native, she began her studies in architecture, but she realized she was most interested in enhancing the natural environment. Inspired, Isabella switched to landscape architecture and environmental planning at University of California, Berkeley where she received her B.A. Her general philosophy is that the most successful spaces are those where architecture and landscape are in dynamic communication.

She loves clean lines and values timeless designs.

Outside of work, Isabella loves writing, reading, flower arranging, fashion and photography.
